Steering
A sports steering wheel in a car offers various added values, both functional and aesthetic. Functionally, a sports steering wheel provides improved grip and control, which is crucial during sporty driving or on the track. The often smaller size and ergonomic shape of a sports steering wheel allow for quick and precise steering movements, enhancing the car's responsiveness. Additionally, a sports steering wheel can be equipped with materials such as alcantara or leather, which not only provide a luxurious appearance but also help reduce hand slippage. To mount a steering wheel in a car, a steering hub is needed. A steering hub forms the connection between the sports steering wheel and the car's steering column and is therefore brand and type specific. It is also possible to make the steering wheel detachable, which can be achieved through a so-called quick release. Pro-Racing sells sports steering wheels from the brand Sparco.

Steering hubs
When you want to install a sports steering wheel in your car, it is almost certain that you will first need to mount a special steering hub. A steering hub is brand and type specific and is essentially an adapter that makes the original connection suitable for a 6-hole sports steering wheel. You do not need to make any permanent modifications for this, and the original steering wheel can always be reinstalled.

Quick releases
A frequently seen addition between the steering hub and the sports steering wheel is the so-called quick release. This ensures that the steering wheel becomes detachable, which is ideal during entry and exit but also makes theft more difficult. Additionally, a quick release brings the steering wheel closer to the driver, which is considered very pleasant, especially for taller drivers. Pro-Racing sells quick releases from the brand Sparco.
